Welcome to my blog!
From my years as an apprentice in an architectural firm, I had always thought about starting my own blog – a blog to share my thoughts on the inner workings of the profession, knowledge I have learned throughout my young career, expose misconceptions surrounding the industry, and maybe even share snippets of my life. Besides establishing my own practice, I thought that this was one of the things on my professional checklist that I needed to do.
Why? Well, I was inspired by specialists, architects & other professionals who despite their busy lives, created and shared useful content for anyone & everyone that was interested. In this day and age of “content creators”, it’s becoming harder every day to see the value of the content being put out there. Here, I envisioned an avenue of my own, free from the limitations & rigidity of big social media entities.
With the launching of my website this year, I was finally able to insert this blog, or architectural journal if you want a fancier term for it, into the code (yep, I made this site myself). It has taken a bit of time building it from the ground up and getting it functioning but it has been worth my while. Maybe I’ll make a post about that in the future.
I’ll keep things short. This marks my first official blog post. Hopefully, I can consistently produce useful content for all readers, students, homeowners or even fellow industry members out there! Stay tuned!
